Join Mara & Mara for a creative and expressive ceramics workshop where vintage meets contemporary.
about the workshopWhat to expect
During this unique workshop students will design and curate their own artwork using a preloved piece of carefully selected vintage ceramics, each chosen with a unique Kentish twist especially for this course. Mara & Mara’s specialist transfers feature landmarks and imagery synonymous with Kent (Dreamland, Oast houses, Hever Castle to name just a few).
Guided by acclaimed ceramicist Alice Mara and her sister Emily, you will create a bespoke, functional artwork that ‘reloves’ and continues the story of each individual piece, perfect as a gift for someone special or as a distinctive addition to your own home.

The workshop will take place on Saturday 18th July
Afternoon session (1:30pm-4pm) is tailored for adults aged 15 and over

Any pieces you choose to keep will be fired and glazed by our team. This process takes time (up to 3 weeks), but we’ll let you know as soon as your work is ready for collection. Please note we’re only able to store finished work for 2 months due to limited space.

All materials, tools, ceramic pieces and transfers will be provided.

The Ceramic Studio is located on a beautiful orchard in Brenchley, and there are lots of lovely surrounding towns and villages offering numerous places to stay.
We are happy to arrange transits to and from local accommodation to the studio for the duration of your course. There may be a small fee for this depending on where you are staying. If you know you will require transits please contact us to enquire before booking your accommodation. Please email the office team at info@theceramicstudio.co.uk.
