Raku Workshops

Discover this wonderful and traditional Japanese pottery technique in one of our Raku Workshops. This is a full day (10am-4pm), tutored by Helen Rondell, and includes a delicious, two-course lunch.

You can bring along three to four pieces of bisque fired work or for a small charge we can supply these. Work does need to be of an even thickness and be less than 30cm in height.

The day starts with a meet and greet followed by a health and safety briefing. Helen will then demonstrate a variety of different techniques for preparing and glazing work. They’ll be plenty of time for you to work on your own pieces and Raku firings will take place throughout the day.

The cost of this workshop is £140 and, as there are only eight spaces available in each session, they tend to fill up very quickly. All equipment and refreshments are provided. Please note that all workshops have a reserve date in case or wet or very windy weather.

Wow! Totally on a high after attending a Raku workshop today. Who knew something so unpredictable could be so exciting and addictive. Great weather, great people, great lunch, great workshop! Thank you!
